This page is the place holder for our future sponsors.
As of June 1st, Twitter Travels is looking for corporate sponsorship as we travel from city-to-city.
The biggest benefits to our future sponsors are the number of blogs we will be guest posting for while we are working on getting our monthly unique visitor count past the 100,000 mark and having a physical presence in each city we are visiting.
An added benefit is that at the conclusion of our project, we will be publishing a travel guide and make it available as a free download. Our travel guide will be a comprehensive guide to all the cities and towns we have visited.
Twitter Travels started as an online-community project on Twitter and we are currently expanding our project to other online communities. We will mostly continue to be focused on deploying online PR strategies to increase awareness for our project and for our sponsors. Also, we will continue to foster our online-community based support.
Twitter has a very large and active user base and we are proud to be a part of the Twitter community. Without Twitter, Twitter Travels would not have been born and we would have not have had the seed money that got us started and eventually brought us out from Atlanta to Los Angeles.
So far, Twitter Travels has visited 4 states and covered 2 coasts. We are scheduled to be in New York in the month of July, again because of the generosity of the Twitter community and their belief in the Twitter Travels project. We are grateful that so many have believed in us enough to reach into their pockets to make Twitter Travels a reality.
Looking to build upon our success, we’ve found that the same users who have supported us to this point from Twitter are also members of multiple-online communities. The internet gives us the opportunity to expand the awareness for Twitter Travels to millions of online users and communities. To support our efforts, we will also be deploying a traditional PR campaign offline.
We will continue to promote Twitter Travels online. Outlined below are some of the online tools and strategies we will be deploying to create value for our sponsors and to increase awareness for our project:
- 150 social media, social-bookmarking sites, and shared news readers
- Guest articles written for blogs
- Directed blog commenting
- Blog back links
- Guest podcasts
- SEO strategies
- Skype conferencing
- A weekly email newsletter
- Establish a Twitter Travels meet-up group in each city we visit
